What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state in which our thinking, conscious, logical mind relaxes/subsides, and our subconscious mind emerges.

Hypnosis is of the same brain wave as meditation. The difference is you are using it for the construction of what you want for yourself in your life as opposed to simply “being”. Both feel really good and are good for you.

Everyone can be hypnotized.

People go into hypnosis every time on their way to sleep, because you have to pass through hypnosis to get to sleep, and you pass through it again on your way back to full consciousness when you wake up. If you can fall asleep, you can be hypnotized.

Being hypnotized is like being absorbed in a good book or movie, or that feeling you get when you are in the midst of a really good massage. You are very relaxed, yet you are aware of what is going on around you. You are not asleep or “out of it”.

Whether you are aware of it or not, throughout your entire day, you are constantly being exposed to suggestions, and with rare exception, you readily accept just about everything you see and hear. In other words, you are almost always in a state of hypnosis.

Hypnosis is NOT a state where you lose or give up control.

When you are in an intended state of hypnosis, whether it be with a trained professional hypnotist or on your own in self-hypnosis via your own internal thought dialogue or an audio program you listen to, YOU are in control of the thoughts that are going to influence you in the future.
